SMS Auto Parts Co. was originally founded in 1946 by the Schafer family, and is still owned and run by the same family.  

 

The Schafer's started with machining, refurbishing, and repurposing well made German and Italian automotive parts.  The family has moved along with the progression of vehicles to the complex machines and computers that they are today.  The company now focuses heavily on precise emissions reading, technology, and products.  To reach the high standards originally set by Wilhelm & Konrad in the early 1940's we produce brand new parts with only the highest quality materials.  We believe in the combination of both man and machine working together which is why, for example, we use precision machine welds to achieve a level of manufacturing that we would put our name to.  The precious metals coatings, assembly, quality control, and testing are all done by hand.  The titanium and silicon coatings are done with a combination of man and machine.

 Our company is still family owned and operated in the Philadelphia area, supplying quality automotive parts to the U.S. market.
